Checking In
I realize I haven’t posted much about what I’m up to for a while!
I’m now in my third year of psychiatry residency and loving it. This year is all outpatient, which means that people come and see me in an office.
I like it better than inpatient, when people are in the hospital. I feel like I can help the people that come to me with more than just medications.
I’ve started up a new website, Life Psychiatrist, that goes into different mental health issues and ways to deal with them through body, mind, heart and spirit.
I’m also working on a book about depression and anxiety that I’m hoping to have out around March.
Learning to use websites to get information out to help people has been an amazing thing. I’m grateful for the internet in its ability to reach and help people and I hope to continue to be able to do that.
We’re also coming to the end of another round of applications. I had the chance to work with several more people through MedSchoolCoach and help them with edits and advising to get them into medical school. It’s always a good feeling to get people there! That’s what this site is all about!
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for reading and for being loyal visitors. I wish you the best of luck in the upcoming application season!
