      • Insider Information

  • Become an MD in 3 Years! This is one of the most exciting programs I’ve read or heard about. The program is called the Family Medicine Accelerated Track, or F-MAT. Through this program, students will spend two years at the Lubbock campus, then spend 4 years total at either Lubbock, Amarillo or Permian Basin. In these 4 years
students will complete their 4th year of medical school and their family medicine residency at this site. That means be an MD and board certified family medicine doctor in just 6 years! Also, Texas Tech Medical School will provide a scholarship for at least one year of medical school! If you want to practice family medicine, give this Texas medical school very serious consideration. For more about this program, click here. For more about the normal medical school curriculum, click here.
  • MD/MBA in Just 4 Years. Texas Tech Medical School is all about getting things done. Fast. One such opportunity is the chance to earn both you MD and MBA degrees in 4 years. You would usually have to take at least one extra year for an MBA. You will start MBA classes the summer before you matriculate at Texas Tech, so don’t think you’re going to have a relaxing summer before starting at this medical school in Texas if you choose this option. But, you’ll come out with two degrees and be a wanted professional in many markets! For more about this program, click here.
  • MD/JD in Just 6 Years. Again, Texas Tech Medical school wants you to get things done fast. You could have your MD and JD in just 6 years. This opens up opportunities to pursue law in the pharmaceutical,
malpractice or other arenas. For more on this program, click here.
  • Race, ethnicity, socioeconomic disadvantage are factors.Texas Tech medical school is dedicated to creating a school that represents West Texas well. For that reason, they try to choose students who represent the area as far as race, ethnicity and socioeconomic status.
  • You live in Texas! Living in Texas has great benefits. No income tax and low cost of living for starters. Plus you’ll find out why it is that everyone from Texas is so proud of it!
  • Summary

Texas Tech Medical School offers great programs and is, in my mind, one of the strongest medical schools in Texas. The most impressive thing to me is the “get it done” attitude of the school. You’ll be hard pressed to find a place where you can accomplish so much in so little time. Plus, you’ll pay very low tuition compared to the rest of the country, especially if you’re a Texas resident.I would highly recommend Texas Tech medical school for your medical education. For more on choosing your best medical school, click here.

Some students find it useful to employ a service to help them with getting into medical school. There are many companies that will help you with this, but my recommendation is MedSchoolCoach.

MedSchoolCoach is run by doctors with experience on admissions committees. This makes a big difference as many companies are run by business people or others without this essential experience. They also have an excellent track record, placing 100% of students in an MD or DO program and 87% in an MD program for those who sign up for their gold
    package
    .
They also offer help with personal statements , interviews and help on choosing which schools to apply to. They are the company I recommend.

I also like them because their prices are very affordable compared to other companies you could choose. Also, click here for current deals from MedSchoolCoach. You can specifically request my services when you sign up. I have experience with Texas medical schools!
